Councillor Seosamh Ó Cuaig has got an assurance that the new Eircom Broadband telephone service will be available in the Cill Chiaráin area next week - the 23rd of August. Councillor Ó Cuaig said this was good news for business people and private households in the area.

The installation of the Broadband service in Cill Chiaráin has cosi approximately €3OO,OOO and Údarás na Gaeitachta has paid Eircom for the job. However, Councillor Ó Cuaig said it appeared that the Údarás was now pulling out of such schemes in the future. They would not be paying.
